About the project
The database ‘Chromosome Numbers for the Flora of Germany’ was developed as an online archive for chromosome counts and flow cytometric ploidy measurements of German ferns and seed plants. It provides the standardised name of the taxon, the georeferenced collection locality, details on the plant material examined, and the publication from which the karyological information originates. The content is continuously updated. The taxonomic and nomenclatural standard is "Rothmaler ‐ Exkursionsflora von Deutschland" (Müller et al. 2016, 2021).
